Description
The City of Laredo is soliciting bids for a three-year contract, with two possible one-year extensions, to lease or purchase new U.S.-made radial tires for Laredo Transit Management's bus and paratransit fleet. The scope includes tires for specified bus and paratransit tire sizes, pricing on a per-mile, per-tire basis, required tire-life information, delivery within 45 days after award to the Laredo Transit Management maintenance facility, a possible 36-month run-out period after contract termination, and disposal of tires and related appurtenances rendered unfit for service. Bids must include the required electronic bid responses or hand-delivered bid materials, including the Conflict of Interest Questionnaire and notarized Non-Collusive Affidavit. Form 1295 is required upon award rather than with the bid. The award will be made by total to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Bidders are strongly encouraged to submit electronically through Cit-E-Bid or by hand delivery; mailed, telegraphic, email, and facsimile bids will not be considered. A 5% local-vendor preference applies under local vendor preference ordinance 2018-O-175.
