Description
The City of Granger is soliciting bids for the Main Street Sidewalk project, identified as Fed Aid No. CRPR-J395(001) and HLA Project No. 25172. This project involves significant construction work, including approximately 220 cubic yards of unclassified excavation, 350 linear feet of curb and gutter, 220 square yards of 4-inch sidewalk, and 105 linear feet of stormwater infiltration trench, along with other related tasks. The project has a strict completion timeframe of twenty (20) working days. Bidders are required to submit their bids in writing on the specified form, sealed, and filed with the City Clerk by 11:00 a.m. on July 2, 2026. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the City Council Chambers at 102 Main Street. A bid deposit of at least 5% of the bid amount, in the form of a bond or certified check payable to the City of Granger Treasurer, is required. The contract also mandates adherence to prevailing state or federal wage rates, with specific attention to the higher of the two. This project is funded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) through the Carbon Reduction Program (CRP), and all FHWA requirements must be met. Small, Minority-, and Women-owned firms are encouraged to submit bids, and the City of Granger affirmatively ensures that disadvantaged business enterprises will have a full and fair opportunity to participate and will not be discriminated against. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
