The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District, is seeking industry input for the renovation of the fish collection facility on the Toutle River. This is a special notice for informational and market research purposes, not a request for proposal. A virtual industry event will be held on July 6, 2026, to provide project updates, gather input on construction risks, industry capabilities, and strategies. Firms that RSVP by July 2, 2026, will receive presentation slides and a questionnaire for feedback. The project involves constructing a temporary fish collection facility (FCF) to maintain operations during modifications to the existing FCF. The temporary facility will include a collection box with an access platform and debris deflector, with a foundation anchored into the existing stilling basin. State Road 504 and Otto Cook Road provide access to the site, with a temporary access road to be constructed. Modifications to the existing FCF include changes to the barrier structure, intake and weir, diffuser, sorting and handling areas, entrance pool, fish ladder, and downstream channel. A new maintenance building, paving, and rain gardens for stormwater management are also planned.
