Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) is soliciting proposals for wet glazing services for the exterior curtain wall and window systems of their 10-story office building located at 100 West Anderson Street, Orlando, Florida. The primary objective of this project is to enhance air and water infiltration performance by installing a continuous, properly bonded sealant system at all glazing joints. The scope of work includes pre-construction activities such as site walks, review of drawings, consultation with sealant manufacturers, and submission of a detailed work plan. Surface preparation involves cleaning and priming of glazing pockets and frames. The installation of sealant will require the use of approved backer rod or bond-breaker tape, continuous application of sealant, and proper tooling to ensure adhesion and a uniform finish. Quality control measures include inspection of installed sealant, repair of any defects, and photographic documentation. The contractor will also coordinate with a third party for testing, such as water testing and adhesion pull tests. Cleanup and protection of adjacent surfaces are also required. Excluded from the scope are replacement of glass, gaskets, pressure plates, or curtain wall components, as well as structural repairs to frames or anchors. The project specifies the use of DOWSIL high-performance silicone sealant with a minimum 20-year manufacturer warranty, and a minimum 10-year workmanship warranty on installation. The contractor is responsible for providing all access equipment, such as swing stages and manlifts, in compliance with OSHA and local regulations. A mandatory pre-response conference will be held on April 20, 2026.
