Description
The Regional Municipality of Niagara (Niagara Region) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for Supported Transitional Housing. Niagara Region, acting as the Consolidated Municipal Service Manager (CMSM) and Designated Community Entity for the Reaching Home Program, is responsible for social and affordable housing and homelessness prevention services. The goal is to provide time-limited housing with supports for individuals experiencing homelessness who face barriers to securing or sustaining permanent housing. This includes transitions from various challenging situations such as social assistance, incarceration, unsafe environments, youth homelessness, child custody issues, and newcomer settlement. The program will operate on a Housing First philosophy and a client-centered approach, aligning with local, provincial, and federal objectives. Successful proponents will participate in Niagara Region's Homelessness-Serving System and adhere to Coordinated Access processes. Multiple proponents may be awarded contracts.
