Buffalo State University is soliciting proposals for a five-year contract for cooling and heating system chemical treatment and servicing. The scope of services includes providing chemical products and equipment for boiler and cooling water systems, as well as testing, measuring, and advising on chemical additives. The contract also requires quarterly inspections and monthly biological sampling for Legionella testing in cooling towers and condensers to comply with NYSDOH regulations. Bidders must have a minimum of five years of proven experience in providing chemical treatment and servicing for cooling and heating systems. All chemical products used must be approved by the NYS DEC, and the use of phosphorus or phosphorus compounds in boiler and cooling water systems is prohibited. The university also requires the use of a NYS DOH accredited commercial laboratory for Legionella testing.
