Description
The Auburn Housing Authority (AHA) is implementing a Section 8 Project-Based Rental Assistance Program, utilizing up to 20 percent of its Section 8 tenant-based voucher funds. This program aims to enter into Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) contracts, potentially for up to 15 years, to support the renovation of existing housing or new construction. All participating units must meet the Housing Quality Standards (HQS) requirements of the Housing Choice Voucher Program, contingent upon funding appropriation from HUD. Qualified housing providers are invited to submit applications. AHA will conduct a thorough review of all submissions based on a scoring system that includes zoning, feasibility, marketability, location, impact, cost of rehabilitation or new construction per unit, development/management experience, and track record in housing. All applications must comply with 24 CFR Part 983 and the Federal Register dated January 16, 2001. Application packets can be requested by phone at 315.253.6249 during AHA's operating hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM). The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, July 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM EST. Auburn Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all applications.
