Description
Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) is soliciting proposals to establish long-term business partnerships for the design, engineering, and prototype manufacturing and testing of custom medical devices. This solicitation aims to establish master agreements with qualified firms, defining terms, conditions, and labor rates for future project-specific solicitations over a five-year period. These partnerships will support RPCI physicians in developing patented medical devices for potential commercialization. The scope of services includes conceptual and detailed design, engineering analysis, CAD modeling, prototype fabrication, iterative development, testing, refinement, and associated engineering and manufacturing support. Future projects will be defined by specific Statements of Work (SOWs), which will include details on intellectual property, approach, estimated labor and material costs, timelines, and deliverables. These SOWs will be evaluated using a scoring process that considers technical experience, timelines, and overall value. Respondents must propose a fixed pricing structure including fully burdened hourly labor rates by category, material pricing treatment, and any annual rate increases. The resulting master agreement(s) will be for a five-year term. Due to the proprietary nature of RPCI's research, respondents must be willing to accept robust Non-Disclosure language.
