Description
The City of Detroit Department of Transportation is seeking concentrated and premixed, low-silicate, phosphate-free, fully formulated, inhibited ethylene glycol antifreeze for heavy-duty fleet applications. The premixed product must contain 50% antifreeze and 50% water, and the products must meet the specified physical, chemical, corrosion, cavitation, freeze-protection, and industry-standard requirements. The contractor must supply the antifreeze in bulk tankers and new, returnable 55-gallon drums; deliver orders within three business days; monitor tanker transfers; retrieve empty drums; provide technical data, safety data sheets, certifications, analyses, and a one-gallon pre-award sample; and comply with packaging, labeling, testing, shipping, and hazardous-material insurance requirements. The contract term is two years, with anticipated multiple awards and renewal options subject to approval.
