The Marion Municipal Utility Service Board is seeking bids for its 2027 water and wastewater treatment chemical requirements, including approximately 2,500 tons of high-calcium quicklime; 600,000 pounds of liquid carbon dioxide; 840,000 pounds of liquid aluminum sulfate; one-ton cylinders of chlorine and sulfur dioxide; 10,000 pounds of dry granular anionic polymer; and 35,000 pounds of emulsion polymer. Chlorine and sulfur dioxide will be awarded as one bid item. Chemicals must meet NSF/ANSI Standard 60 where applicable. Lime deliveries must arrive by 2:00 p.m. Eastern time and include a certificate of analysis showing at least 93% CaO. Polymer products must be jar tested and field proven unless supplied by the current supplier, with test results included in the bid. Bids must be submitted on Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 95. A bid bond equal to 5% of the base bid is required for Indiana-based firms; other firms must provide a certified check for the same amount.
