Description
Orlando Utilities Commission seeks qualified suppliers to clear trees and vegetation from its electrical transmission and distribution facilities during hurricanes, tornadoes, and other emergency events. Work may cover overhead distribution lines and transmission rights of way, including areas that are not truck-accessible. Suppliers must be prepared to respond immediately, provide support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and furnish qualified line-clearance crews, supervision, equipment, and an on-site storm coordinator. Debris removal is excluded; the work generally uses a cut-and-drop method. Proposals must include firm 2027 and 2028 labor and equipment rates, including applicable standard, overtime, and double-time rates, as well as pricing for storm crew scenarios and the required travel-expense approach. The solicitation also requests supplier qualifications and experience, staffing and equipment capabilities, subcontracting information, and completed compliance forms. OUC may award multiple contracts and issue purchase orders for services as emergency events arise.
