Description
The City of Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency is seeking a qualified restaurant operator, hospitality group, restaurateur, or eligible joint venture to plan, launch, manage, and operate a restaurant at McCollum Hall. The selected operator will develop the approved concept, brand, menu, service model, and customer experience; provide staffing, training, payroll administration, inventory, supplies, permits, licenses, sanitation, maintenance, and day-to-day operations; and coordinate with the CRA during facility restoration, design, equipment planning, inspections, and opening. The operator must submit a comprehensive proposal addressing its experience, restaurant concept, operations plan, business and financial plan, proposed rent or revenue-sharing structure, community benefit commitments, marketing and activation strategy, and design/fit-out needs. The restaurant is expected to support live music, performing arts, community events, private rentals, and other programming at McCollum Hall. The solicitation requires electronic submission through the OpenGov portal, including a single signed PDF proposal and a separately uploaded cost proposal, along with specified certifications, affidavits, licenses or permits, financial-capacity documentation, references, and other compliance materials. The anticipated business structure is negotiable; suggested terms include an initial five-year term from restaurant opening with up to two five-year renewal options.
