The School Food Authority (SFA) is soliciting proposals from qualified Food Service Management Companies (FSMCs) to operate its child nutrition programs, including the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and potentially others, under a fixed price contract. The contract period is from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027, with up to four one-year renewals. The FSMC will be responsible for meal preparation, service, and management, adhering to all federal and state regulations, including USDA requirements. The contract is a fixed price per meal, bid in three parts: direct cost of operation, administrative fee, and management fee. The FSMC must provide a bid guarantee of at least 5% of the total bid price and a performance bond. The SFA retains control of the non-profit school food service account and all program oversight. The FSMC must comply with all applicable laws, maintain required insurance, and follow the SFA's 21-day menu. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked 'Food Service Management Bid' by the public bid opening date.
