Description
The Kelso School District is soliciting bids for the Rose Valley Elementary School Modernization project. The work includes a base bid and several alternates. The base bid scope encompasses upgrading interior finishes, constructing a new administrative addition and new classrooms, building a covered play area, improving fire and safety measures, upgrading the electrical system, installing new plumbing, HVAC, roof, windows, siding, and a new septic system. The project also involves significant hazardous materials abatement, including removal of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) such as vinyl floor tile and mastic, pipe insulation, window frame sealant, HVAC duct seam sealant, mechanical isolation cloth, and green chalkboards. Lead-containing paint and PCB-containing ballasts must also be handled. Alternate bids include a two-classroom addition, a covered play area, roof replacement, carpet replacement, and library casework replacement. The contract is a single prime, stipulated price contract. The contractor will have full site access from October 10, 2022, to June 1, 2023, with substantial completion by June 1, 2023.
