Description
The Bureau of Justice Assistance, within the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs, is offering FY 2026 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program—Local Formula funding to eligible units of local government. Grant funds may support hiring additional personnel and purchasing equipment and supplies, as well as contractual support, training, technical assistance, and information systems for criminal justice or civil proceedings across the program's eligible areas. Eligible applicants include special district governments, counties, cities or townships, federally recognized Native American tribal governments, and other units of local government. The award range is $0 to $4,964,030, with no cost-sharing or matching requirement. Applications are submitted through Grants.gov.
