Description
The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs is seeking a Rural Security Advisor to support its Frontline Operations Against Rural Threats program. The contractor will advise and manage programs supporting Colombian National Police recruitment, rural police-base construction and fortification, base defense, specialized training, equipment procurement and accountability, logistics, law-enforcement operations, and rural security assistance. The position includes program, budget, acquisition, monitoring, evaluation, internal-control, and implementer-performance responsibilities, as well as field visits and reporting on security developments. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, hold a bachelor's degree, have specified military or federal law-enforcement advisory and overseas security-assistance experience, and be able to read and speak Spanish professionally. A Department of State Secret clearance, medical clearance, and ethics clearance are required or must be obtainable; a Top Secret upgrade may be required. Applications are limited to a 20-page package and must include the SF-171, resume, evaluation-factor responses, and three professional references.
