Description
The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, through Alabama State Parks, is seeking an answering-service vendor for the 1-800-ALAPARK telephone line. The service must be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with representatives following Alabama State Parks protocols and transferring calls to parks as needed. Remote representatives are permitted but must be fluent in English. The estimated call volume is 600–1,200 calls per month, and the awarded vendor will receive the call scripts. The monthly base fee must include the required answering service, with no startup or setup fees and no additional charges for holidays, long-distance calls, park transfers, or technology. The vendor must meet an average speed of answer of 30 seconds and an abandonment rate below 5% according to the solicitation details, and provide ongoing training at no additional charge. Vendors must also provide overage pricing per minute; the solicitation estimates that overages will not exceed 14,615 minutes. The first stated contract year is October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027. The agreement may be renewed annually for a total term not exceeding five years, and its cumulative value may not exceed $25,000.
