Description
The Retirement Systems of Alabama is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified general contractors for alterations to the Level 9 PSC hearing room in the RSA Union Building. The project is located at 100 Union Street, Suite 300, Montgomery, Alabama, and includes fire alarm work subject to Alabama Certified Fire Alarm Act licensing and technician-certification requirements. Bidders must be licensed under Title 34 of the Code of Alabama and provide evidence of licensing on the proposal envelope. A list of major subcontractors must accompany the bid. A cashier’s check or bid bond for at least 5% of the bid amount, capped at $10,000, is required. Performance and payment bonds, if the award exceeds $50,000, and evidence of insurance are prerequisites to contract award. Bid documents are available from the architect for a nonrefundable digital-access fee and/or refundable deposit.
