Description
The Retirement Systems of Alabama is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified general contractors for alterations to the Level 9 PSC hearing room in the RSA Union Building. Bid documents are available through JMR+H Architecture, PC, subject to the stated administrative fee and document deposit requirements. Bidders must be licensed under Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, and evidence of licensing must appear on the proposal envelope. Contractors bidding on fire alarm work must meet Alabama Certified Fire Alarm Act requirements, including applicable NICET technician certifications and a State Fire Marshal permit. A cashier’s check or bid bond of at least 5% of the bid amount, capped at $10,000, must accompany the proposal. A list of major subcontractors is also required. Performance and payment bonds, if the award exceeds $50,000, and evidence of insurance are prerequisites to contract award.
