Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is soliciting construction bids for Phase IV of the Cypress Creek restoration project at the Wendell H. Ford Regional Training Center. The work covers restoration of approximately 5,719 linear feet of stream and treatment of 300 acres of invasive plant species as part of an eight-phase natural-channel-design restoration program. The overall project involves approximately 49,770 linear feet of Cypress Creek and its tributaries. The scope includes excavation of proposed channels and floodplains; construction of in-stream structures and bank treatments; reshaping existing channels; seedbed preparation; installation of erosion-control blanket and mulch; herbicide application using an unmanned aerial vehicle; installation of native seeds and live stakes; and grading and shaping in adjacent floodplains to support floodwater storage or transport. Additive Alternate 1 covers Tributary 2-11. The estimated project value is $2,038,124, and the estimated project duration is 540 days to substantial completion plus 30 days to final completion.
