Description
Harris County Flood Control District is soliciting a contractor for one year of mowing and various maintenance services in its East Mowing Sector. The scope includes three annual mowing cycles for channels, basins, tree planting sites, and sensitive habitat areas; monthly mowing of buy-out lots from March through December; hand trimming and edging; fence-line pruning; standing tree removal; debris removal and disposal; common labor crews; and herbicide applications. Work may also include mowing steep or limited-access areas using alternative equipment, maintaining buffers around trees and structures, and completing work orders within specified cycle periods. The contractor must provide suitable mowing, trimming, pruning, tree-removal, hauling, and herbicide-application equipment; submit equipment information, mowing schedules, work plans, herbicide qualifications and plans, safety plans, and required compliance certifications. The bid package requires a bid guarantee equal to 5% of each separate bid, with a bid bond or cashier’s check option, and performance and payment bonding after award. The solicitation also requires proof of insurance, safety-record documentation, an M/WBE utilization plan or good-faith-effort documentation, minimum-wage certification, references, contractor qualification questionnaires, and a completed bid table.
