Description
The City of Tuscaloosa is soliciting bids for grounds maintenance services at 46 locations identified in the bid documents and appendices. Required services include mowing, edging, pruning of hedges, shrubs, and trees, mulching, fertilization, herbicide and pesticide application, removal of vegetation from fences, and collection, removal, and off-site disposal of trash, litter, and debris. Table A locations are serviced weekly during the growing season and every two weeks during the non-growing season; Table B locations are serviced every two weeks year-round. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, training, materials, tools, transportation, vehicles, and equipment. Bidders must demonstrate at least five years of full-time grounds maintenance experience, provide information on comparable contracts, list available equipment and vehicles, and submit at least three similar references from current or recently completed contracts. The contract is for one year from execution or the purchase order date, with automatic annual renewals for two additional years, for a maximum three-year term. Required insurance includes workers' compensation, public general liability, and property insurance, with $1,000,000 minimum limits specified for public general liability and property insurance.
