Description
Palm Beach County seeks a contractor to inspect, maintain, modernize, and repair elevators, escalators, and wheelchair lifts at county facilities and airports. The work includes scheduled preventive maintenance, testing and inspections, emergency response and callbacks, repairs on a time-and-material basis when outside scheduled maintenance, and annual escalator and hoistway cleaning where specified. The contract also requires on-site mechanics for both lots, equipment logs and reporting, and an online maintenance-reporting system. Bidders must meet specified licensing, staffing, and experience qualifications, including at least five years of elevator-maintenance industry experience, qualified Florida-certified elevator mechanics, and registered electrical and mechanical engineers with relevant experience. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid conference and the applicable mandatory site inspection(s) is required. The contract is for an initial 12-month term with four 12-month renewal options.
