Description
The City of Belvidere is soliciting proposals for property and casualty insurance coverage beginning January 1, 2027, at 12:01 a.m. Central Standard Time, for a one-year term. Requested coverage includes automobile, general, law enforcement, incidental medical malpractice, public officials, employment practices, employee benefits, umbrella/excess, cyber, workers’ compensation, property, auto physical damage, mobile equipment, sales tax interruption, equipment breakdown, crime, fidelity, money and securities, forgery or alteration, and computer and funds transfer fraud coverage. The specifications identify required or preferred limits, deductibles, coverage forms, and underwriting conditions for the various lines. Proposals must also address claims-adjusting services, annual loss runs, premium or contribution breakdowns by department, cancellation provisions, carrier financial strength, and available loss-control services. The loss-control response form requests information about on-site surveys, training, safety resources, municipal risk expertise, claims analysis, ergonomic and noise assessments, and related services. Bidders must clearly identify deviations, exclusions, conditions, additional fees, and any coverage contingent on further information or completed applications.
