Description
Galveston County is requesting proposals from qualified, Texas-licensed insurance agents or agencies to arrange property and casualty insurance coverage for County-owned and operated properties. The requested program includes property coverage, windstorm and hail coverage, flood insurance, fire, vandalism and malicious mischief, and other specified perils, with coverage options and deductibles identified in the proposal sheets. Bidders must provide carrier information, premiums for multiple deductible levels, coverage deviations, and any required flood premium itemization by location and insured amount. The selected agent or agency will provide marketplace quotations, policy placement, account administration, claims and servicing support, and assistance with future qualified Community Development Block Grant recipients. The initial policy term is one year beginning November 1, 2026, with three potential one-year renewals at the County's discretion. Proposers must submit references, agent and carrier qualifications, required certifications and affidavits, proposal sheets, an agent information sheet, and evidence of required insurance coverage. The solicitation permits electronic submission through the County's procurement portal or one unbound, single-sided original delivered to the Purchasing Agent.
