Description
The City of Mebane is soliciting qualifications from design-build teams for a new approximately 10,000-square-foot fire station on approximately 2.2 acres. The facility will include two apparatus bays and suitable living and kitchen accommodations. The project has an established total cost of $6 million, inclusive of preconstruction and design services, construction management fees, overhead, markups, owner’s allowance, and contingencies, with a goal of completion in June 2028. The selected team will provide design and construction services through a qualifications-based selection process. Teams must demonstrate experience with similar projects and a positive work history with the City of Mebane or other surrounding counties or entities. The RFQ requires one original, three copies, and one USB drive containing identical qualification-submittal materials; electronic submissions are not accepted.
