Description
Saint Louis County is soliciting bids for masonry repairs at the Spirit of St. Louis Airport. Work includes replacing expansion joints; waterproofing exterior masonry with a deep-penetrating siloxane solution; spot-pointing and repairing mortar; patching approximately 120 damaged bricks at the Edison Complex; grinding and re-tuckpointing cracks in concrete masonry unit joints; replacing deteriorated brick and repairing approximately 30 damaged bricks on the hangar; caulking an existing expansion joint; and removing and disposing of replaced materials. The project is firm fixed price, with a stated magnitude between $25,000 and $100,000 and a 60-day period of performance from the Notice to Proceed to substantial completion. The successful contractor must provide the required labor, equipment, materials, and construction services, comply with applicable prevailing-wage requirements when applicable, and furnish performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the bid amount. An addendum provides a revised bid sheet.
