Description
The City of Ocala is seeking an experienced contractor to provide construction services for its Water Resources Improvement Program. The contract covers various water, sewer gravity/forced, reclaimed water, and pipe lining projects assigned based on the City's needs within the Ocala service area. The contractor must provide all materials, labor, and equipment and perform work to current City of Ocala standards. The contractor must be a licensed Underground Utility, General, or Building Contractor in Florida and possess ten years of business license and experience in underground utility construction. A Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certified person must be on site at all times during construction. The contract is a unit price contract, and bidders must bid on all line items. The low bidder will be determined using three sample projects selected prior to bid opening. A bid bond of 5% is required. The contract term is two years with two optional one-year renewals.
