Description
The South Dakota Department of Health, on behalf of the South Dakota Public Health Laboratory, is seeking one or more contractors to provide scheduled and authorized on-demand courier services for clinical, environmental, forensic, veterinary, and other laboratory specimens, samples, supplies, reports, and authorized materials. Services may cover Eastern, Central, and Western South Dakota, with awards made by region and potentially to multiple contractors. The contractor must provide personnel, vehicles, equipment, climate control, secure chain-of-custody handling, tracking, communications, next-day delivery for routine scheduled services, emergency and surge capacity, reporting, and continuity-of-operations support. Proposals must address routing, staffing, vehicles, temperature control, security, inclement weather, emergency response, subcontractors, customer service, performance monitoring, comparable experience, references, and pricing. The anticipated contract period is March 1, 2027, through February 29, 2032, with annual renewal opportunities for up to five years.
