Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a complete compact preclinical MRI solution for animal research, including a permanent 1 Tesla self-shielded magnet, compact/mobile configuration, integrated animal handling, physiological monitoring, anesthesia delivery, heating, rat and mouse body coils, and accessories. The system must support anatomical, functional, molecular, cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, multimodal, in vivo, and ex vivo imaging for mice and rats, with pre-optimized protocols, advanced sequence development, temperature-drift compensation, low-noise operation, and no requirement for cryogens or extensive facility modifications. The requirement also includes preclinical and cardiac image-analysis software, delivery, installation, calibration, testing, commissioning, system acceptance, a standard warranty, and at least two days of on-site advanced applications training. The contractor must provide technical documentation demonstrating compliance with all salient characteristics, identify the manufacturer, model, part number, place of manufacture, and country of origin, and include all delivery, importation, customs, transportation, and related logistics costs in the quotation. The anticipated contract is firm-fixed-price and unrestricted.
