Description

The City of Brentwood is seeking an exclusive contractor for on-call urban forest services throughout the city, including consulting, tree planting, watering, fertilization, chemical treatment, routine and hazard pruning, tree and stump removal, emergency response, debris disposal, and restoration of property damaged during work. Emergency tree work must generally begin within four hours of the City's request, and all work must comply with applicable safety, environmental, ANSI, OSHA, and arboricultural requirements. An ISA Certified Arborist must be on staff and on each work site. The contractor must develop a multi-year work plan and assist with a five- to ten-year Urban Forest Health Assessment and Action Plan. Required management reporting includes monthly itemized invoices, weekly assignment-queue reports, daily damage reports, and semiannual certification and insurance documentation. Proposals must address the firm's approach, personnel, experience, pricing, service levels, reporting, and current clients, including at least three references. The contract is for three years with two one-year extension options and is scheduled to begin January 1, 2027.
