Description
The City of Frontenac is soliciting sealed bids for the removal and replacement of the Spoede Road Bridge over Deer Creek. The work includes removals, clearing and grubbing, grading, excavation, bridge construction, asphalt pavement, pedestrian decorative fencing, guardrail, rock blanket, pavement markings, concrete sidewalk, seeding and mulching, erosion control, and miscellaneous related work. Bidders must be on the Missouri Department of Transportation Qualified Contractor List, with the contractor questionnaire on file seven days before bid opening. A certified or cashier’s check or a 5% bid bond is required with each proposal. The project has a 0% DBE goal with no trainees, and second-tier subcontracting is not allowed. Proposals must use the provided forms and will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Applicable labor must be paid at the higher of the federal or state prevailing wage rate, and on-site employees must complete an approved 10-hour OSHA construction safety program within 60 days of beginning work.
