Description
The West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation is soliciting bids for an open-ended contract covering biannual preventive maintenance and inspections, corrective maintenance, repairs, replacement parts, and installation of new devices and equipment at the Lorrie Yeager Jr. Juvenile Center. The scope includes rooftop HVAC units, hot-water heaters and storage tanks, boilers, building automation controls, high-low water manifold systems, mixing valves, vent fans, plumbing, and related equipment and systems. The contractor must provide labor, tools, equipment, supplies, parts, emergency response, documentation, maintenance logs, and appropriately licensed technicians with at least five years of relevant experience. Corrective maintenance generally requires response within two hours and onsite arrival within 24 hours; emergency requests require response within 30 minutes and onsite arrival within four hours. The contractor must use the agency-provided pricing page and submit a five-percent bid bond based on the overall bid cost. The contract has a one-year initial term with up to four successive one-year renewals, and total payments may not exceed $500,000. Performance and labor/material payment bonds equal to 100% of the bid are required from the lowest-priced responsive contractor after bid submission and before award.
