Description
The Tyler County Board of Education is soliciting sealed bids for school safety upgrades. The work includes replacement of selected aluminum storefronts, windows, doors, frames, hardware, glazing, and low-energy power door operators; installation of security and access-control door hardware with associated low-voltage and line-voltage electrical work; selective masonry infill; repainting of designated interior and exterior surfaces; exterior concrete walkways and stairs; and incidental site improvements. Bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting, hold a West Virginia contractor license, include the applicable West Virginia license number on submitted bids, and use local labor pursuant to the West Virginia Jobs Act. Each bid must include a 5% bid bond; the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and labor-and-material payment bonds. Bidding documents are issued electronically in PDF format by the architect for a non-refundable $100 access fee.
