Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons is conducting market research for comprehensive medical services for male inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution in Bastrop, Texas. The anticipated scope includes inpatient and outpatient hospital services; inpatient and outpatient physician services; long-term acute care; telehealth consultations; and on-site cardiology, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and gastroenterology services. The questionnaire identifies approximate annual quantities for inpatient hospital days, outpatient visits, long-term acute-care days, specialty visits, and telehealth consultations. Pricing is expected to use Medicare-based benchmarks, including MS-DRG, Medicare Part B physician fee schedule, and facility-service rates. Respondents are asked about service capability, prime or subcontractor performance, business size and socioeconomic-program eligibility, subcontracting, Medicare-based pricing, centralized billing, medical liability insurance, proposal preparation, start-up time, and firm information. This is a sources-sought notice only; no solicitation is currently available and a contract may or may not result.
