The Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services is issuing a Request for Applications to eligible in-state acute hospitals seeking to participate as MassHealth providers for Rate Year 2027. Selected hospitals will provide covered inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency services, to MassHealth members and must accept the reimbursement methodologies and rates established in the RFA and resulting Hospital Contract. Applicants must submit a cover letter, completed and signed Hospital Contract, application and required documentation, certification materials, and the Data Privacy Certification Form. Applications may be submitted electronically by email to AcuteHospitalRFA@mass.gov or by hard copy in a sealed envelope to the MassHealth Acute Hospital Program at 1 Enterprise Drive, 4th Floor, Quincy, Massachusetts 02171. The contract period is October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, and applicants must also comply with applicable quality reporting, data privacy, health information technology, billing, and MassHealth program requirements.
