Description
The City of Ann Arbor is soliciting proposals for the repair of Fire Station 3, which was damaged by an EF1 tornado on April 15, 2026. The scope of work includes masonry repairs such as repointing brick and CMU, repairing cracks, installing new control joints, replacing damaged face shells, and grouting cells. Additional work includes installing backer rod and sealant at ceiling joints, removing and replacing a portion of the ceiling in the apparatus bay, and repainting affected walls. The project also involves structural repairs including installing #6 rebar full height with dowels and grouting, and repairing the parapet. The work is anticipated to occur in spring 2027.
