The New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute intends to extend its contract with Center for Disease Detection for 18 months, from July 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026. This extension is in place while a competitive Invitation for Bid (IFB) is completed. The contract provides funding for laboratory testing for the detection of reportable sexually transmitted infections among at-risk persons in selected community settings outside of New York City. Samples are collected by local health departments and community-based organizations and subsequently tested on behalf of New York State. A competitive procurement for this service was not feasible due to delays in the procurement process.
