Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), through the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), is seeking capability statements from small businesses to manage the NIH Brain Development Cohorts (NBDC) Biobank. This biobank will process, store, analyze, and distribute de-identified biological samples and related data from the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study and the HEALthy Brain and Child Development (HBCD) Study. Capable vendors must demonstrate experience in managing a large biobank with over 550,000 samples, including processing, storing, and tracking diverse biospecimen types. They must also provide collection kits, maintain chain of custody, and manage sample distribution to qualified investigators. Technical requirements include maintaining and updating databases, managing the NBDC Biobank portal (front-end and back-end), and developing APIs for secure data exchange.
