Description
The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Northwest Regional Office (NWRO), on behalf of the Southwest Regional Office (SWRO), Office of Justice Services (OJS) District IV, intends to enter into a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract with the University of New Mexico for autopsy and forensic pathology services. These services are required to determine the cause of death for individuals in cases where the cause is not related to natural causes or where human remains have been found, which are essential for homicide, suicide, and unattended death investigations, as well as the discovery of human remains. The University of New Mexico is the only responsible source that provides these specialized services for the entire State of New Mexico, and all law enforcement agencies across the state rely on them.
