Description
The City of Cambridge is soliciting instructors for two after-school programming sections: Culturally Ethnic Cooking Instruction and STEAM Through Film, Animation, & Media Arts Instruction. Services will run weekly from November 2, 2026, through June 17, 2027, with classes generally scheduled between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Each section may be provided at four to nine Cambridge Community School sites. Cooking instructors must provide age-appropriate instruction, recipes, food, equipment, and preparation materials for classes of up to 20 children. Film, animation, and media arts instructors must provide instruction using cameras, audio equipment, editing software, and related equipment to create original videos, with classes averaging 12 students and capped at 20. Bidders must provide qualified instructors and substitutes, maintain coverage for absences, adapt to school schedules and available facilities, collaborate with Community Schools staff, and ensure instructors are CORI/SORI certified. Pricing is hourly, with estimated quantities of 420 hours for cooking instruction and 280 hours for film, animation, and media arts instruction. The City may award one or multiple contracts by section. Bidders must submit three similar-service references and complete the required vendor, quality, compliance, and non-collusion responses.
