Description
The City of Kent is soliciting sealed bids for facility remediation and acoustical improvements at an existing indoor firing range. Work includes selective removal, handling, cleaning, decontamination, and disposal of designated materials; removal and replacement of wall, ceiling, and ceiling-baffle materials; installation of new acoustic wall and ceiling treatments and supported ceiling baffles; and preparation, coating, painting, and marking of the existing concrete floor. The engineer's estimate is $449,745, excluding Washington State sales tax. Bidders must include cash, a cashier's check, or a surety bond equal to 5% of the bid, using the form provided in the bid packet, and must submit a signed statement regarding prior work subject to Executive Order No. 11246. The mandatory apprentice-utilization requirement applies only to public works estimated at $1 million or more and therefore is not triggered by the stated estimate.
