Description
The City of Goldsboro Parks & Recreation Department is soliciting sealed bids for abatement, demolition, and clearance of Herman Park Center at 901 East Ash Street. The work includes permitting, environmental abatement for identified asbestos-containing materials and lead-related hazards, utility disconnection coordination, demolition of the main building, maintenance shop, foundations, fences, sheds, light poles and fixtures, concrete and asphalt, debris disposal, site grading, drainage improvements, sewer-line capping, and reseeding. The contractor must be a licensed North Carolina general contractor with a Building Contractor classification and must use North Carolina-accredited asbestos workers and supervisors. The project is federally funded and includes certified payroll, prevailing-wage, insurance, and bonding requirements. Work must be continuous once begun and completed within 120 consecutive calendar days after notice to proceed.
