Description
Miami-Dade County Department of Solid Waste Management is soliciting a contractor to complete stormwater drainage improvements at Cell 5 of the South-Dade Landfill. The work includes placing and compacting an approximately 18-inch intermediate soil cover over about 10 acres of side slopes; supplying and installing approximately 960 linear feet of 24-inch corrugated HDPE downcomer pipe, including six downcomer assemblies and spare pipe; constructing approximately 3,650 linear feet of stormwater control berms; hydroseeding; installing biodegradable erosion control blankets; and installing and maintaining erosion and sediment control measures. The contractor must provide labor, equipment, materials, permits, planning, pre-construction submittals, signage, temporary protections, mobilization, demobilization, photographic documentation, coordination with landfill operations, cleanup, and site restoration. A General Building Contractor or Building Contractor license is required for the prime contractor, with subcontractor capabilities in landscaping, excavating/grading, and underground utility/excavation. The estimated value is $540,800, excluding contingencies and dedicated allowances. A bid bond, performance bond, payment bond, insurance, and a master permit are required.
