Description
The North Plainfield Board of Education is soliciting bids for HVAC upgrades at Somerset Intermediate School, project number 10522. Bids will be accepted until 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 9th, 2026. Bids must be submitted in person, by mail, or by delivery service to 33 Mountain Avenue, North Plainfield, NJ, 07060. Facsimile or electronic transmissions will not be accepted. Bidders are responsible for ensuring their bids arrive before the deadline. The project scope includes building-wide HVAC upgrades as defined in the contract documents. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in category (C032) HVACR. Bidders must submit a Certificate of Prequalification/Classification and an Affidavit as to the Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts. Compliance with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. is required, including an Initial Project Workforce Report. A Statement of Ownership and Public Works Contractor Registration are also mandatory. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified/cashier's check for 10% of the bid amount, not to exceed $20,000.00, and a Certificate of Consent of Surety.
