Description
The City of Cambridge is soliciting bids for water meters, electronic registers, and related hardware across four categories: positive-displacement cold-water meters, solid-state ultrasonic cold-water meters, fire hydrant meters, and turbine cold-water meter assemblies. Estimated quantities range from individual residential-size meters through 3-, 4-, and 6-inch turbine assemblies. Multiple contracts may be awarded by section or line item, and bidders may bid on one or more items where permitted. Products must comply with applicable AWWA standards, be compatible with the City's Aclara fixed-radio-frequency automatic meter-reading system, read in cubic feet, and include required fittings, valves, gaskets, spools, spacers, or other installation components. The solicitation requires manufacturer and bidder experience, three Massachusetts municipal references, accuracy documentation, manufacturer affidavits, warranty information, and completion of the portal's vendor and compliance submissions. Deliveries are required within 30 days of each order and must be made inside to the Cambridge Water Department receiving area.
