Description
The City of Porterville is soliciting proposals from qualified, licensed contractors to design, supply, and deliver two turnkey, solar-powered wireless emergency call boxes along the Tule River Parkway. The systems are intended to improve public safety and emergency communication access in remote or low-visibility trail areas. Required features include solar power with battery backup capable of 14 days of operation without sunlight; commercial LTE compatibility with multi-carrier roaming; illuminated and flashing blue locator lights; ADA-compliant hands-free, one-touch operation with braille signage; and vandal-resistant, weatherproof enclosures suitable for extreme local temperatures. Proposers must demonstrate at least three years of similar experience, provide organizational and experience information, three business references, and a complete cost proposal.
