Description
The City of Virginia Beach is soliciting a contractor to replace approximately 3,500 linear feet of an existing 8-inch force main serving Pump Station 242. The work includes installing an 8-inch ductile iron force main, connecting it to existing 8-inch and 12-inch ductile iron force mains, and providing valves, fittings, restraints, and related appurtenances. The project extends along Harton Circle, Harton Road, Caren Drive, Virginius Drive, Malibu Drive, and Royal Palm Arch. Additional work includes abandonment and removal of existing sewer infrastructure, pavement restoration, pipe bedding, traffic control, erosion and sediment control, dewatering, utility coordination, site restoration, testing, record drawings, and project identification signage. The contract requires completion within 365 consecutive calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Addendum 1 adds project plans and requires bidders to acknowledge the addendum with the bid.
