Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, on behalf of Veterans Integrated Services Network 02 and James J. Peters VA Medical Center, requires a bridge contract to maintain continuity of viral load molecular diagnostic testing. The scope includes clinical diagnostic testing equipment, corresponding supplies, and related services, including delivery, installation, validation, and subsequent removal of existing analyzers after validation of replacement analyzers. The notice identifies Roche Diagnostics Corporation as the intended sole-source contractor because the required products and services are highly specialized and no authorized subcontractor or other manufacturer is capable of meeting the short-term requirement. The anticipated bridge period is six months, from October 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, with one six-month option period.
