Description
The City of South San Francisco is seeking a qualified consultant to provide independent special inspection and directly associated testing services for the Community Civic Campus Phase 3 Fire Station 63 project. The project is a new approximately 10,150-square-foot, two-story fire station with a three-bay apparatus garage, office and living areas, site utilities, parking, and related improvements. The scope includes project management, certified inspection personnel, laboratory services, scheduling, coordination, reporting, and closeout support. Required work covers reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel, welding and nondestructive testing, high-strength bolting, steel decking, anchors and dowels, expansion anchors, structural wood, glued-laminated timber, seismic components, fireproofing, firestopping, acoustical ceiling anchors, and associated material and laboratory testing. Soils and geotechnical inspection, structural observation, electrical testing, commissioning, building-envelope and roofing testing, asphalt testing, and contractor quality-control testing are excluded. The consultant must provide qualified and certified personnel, maintain California professional engineering oversight, attend applicable meetings, and furnish signed daily, weekly, final, and closeout reports.
